the light came through the branches, golden

the air is crisp, and the mountains glow

I felt alone, but at the same time empowered

there was finally silence

I could see the house of my grandfather, lonely, over the hill

collective landscapes (2014-2024)

please, hover over the drawings

the meadow was smelling like rain and dust and hay in the same time

light was milky, as it had a mass to it

it was stormy weather

the water was emerald green, and my heart was the same too

the mountains out there make you stop breathing and just be

I invite you to a meeting. I offer you my ability to draw. You share a memory, and I represent it. Together, we reveal memory, reconstruct a shared history, and relate our individuality to a collective. Come and be a part of your own story.

In 2024, the collective landscapes project is celebrating 10 years of existence, and on this occasion, it came to Timișoara. This project is based on a participatory and utilitarian performance, where I offer the public my ability to draw. Through collective landscapes, I want to give people the opportunity to capture a memory of a landscape and become aware of their presence and influence in nature and society. I am convinced that if more people become truly aware of their presence in the world, we will live a much more sustainable life as humanity and as inhabitants of the Earth.

In individual 20-minute sessions, my proposal has been, and remains, to draw a memory-robot for each participant: an image unrecorded in any other way, existing only in their inner space. I have asked, and will continue to invite participants, to focus on memories that contain landscapes, to create a physical and conceptual framework for the project. I aim to find participants in alternative spaces: in parks, on the street, in squares, in public institutions, in shops, in public transport stations, etc. Participants can also register in advance. The relationship between myself and the subjects, the representation of their multiple memories through my subjective vision, as well as the fine line between imagination and documentary, deeply interest me.

you could see the heat waves at the horizon

it was fade, but so beautiful

the shadow of the forest in the morning was so present

the herbs were touching me when the wind blew

I never realized how big the Sun was until that day

in this different world, everything was perfect

I could see inside of me there

I was free

I felt alive, really alive

the village lights were flickering

with Bega, my emotions flew

the green was fantastic

the sound was so loud

the sky was soft grey and mist lingered through the trees

I was moving with the landscape

the lava was mixing with the rain

the fresh air, the morning light, just being alive

it was my place in the world

the stars were moving around

the clouds were violet and thick

it was as it came straight from a fairytale

I was dreaming about a pearl planet with pearls satellites

the snow was blowing with wind

the black island obsessed me for years

the water was still

the lonely tree was me

despite being dead, he was my friend

that mountain was my lover, my brother, my friend

the flash was life was striking

I enjoy being in the waves

the light was washing me with warmth

they were twins, just like us

sparkling lights on the water

He was magnificent

the ice is still haunting me

the forest was dense and dark,

full of wonders and mysteries

that was the night I was the Universe

light was milky, as it had a mass to it

I am remembering a state... a state of being at ease, relaxed, fulfilled

the clouds were shaped as a person, running away from me
